Great book for anyone interested in Mid-eastern Dancing or Culture. By Alev Lytle Croutier. It tells what a harem really is (far from what's depicted in Hollywood) about this gals family and her memories of life before and after she came to the states. Lots of Facts about living in and being a parts of a harem, it gave me a new respect in many aspects for these women. - Souzzon , posted 11/25/05 |
