Anchorage Treasure
If you have not tried this place yet...treat yourself and your family. The food is made by a lovely woman who is amazing at what she does. I recommend the Shawarma. The locals you will meet there are interesting and very pleasant. You may even hear the beautiful language of Hebrew being spoken. Add to that the scent that fills the air and you will not be dissapointed. - K , posted 09/08/07

Yummy
I was there one of the first couple of days and it was great. They make pita bread from scratch right there in the restauraunt. They are pleasant and the prices are reasonable. But most importantly the food was delicious!

Go check it out! - alyssaleee , posted 03/04/07

Yes it really is the king...
Delicious, fresh food served by friendly people.

The only things I can say against this restaurant is that the menu didn't have a lot of variety and the prices were a smidge too high. However, I will gladly go back for more...

Very impressed, and I look forward to more visits. - Chelsea , posted 02/25/07

Pleasantly Surprised
Being new to Anchorage I'm still getting over the sticker shock effect of the food prices here.$10 + for a sandwich and drink...etc.. That aside...I had a wonderful "Israeli National Food" experience today at lunch. A teensy weensy little shack/store next to a similarly small Chinese/Fried chicken/Burger joint on Gambell. Very tasty falafel/tahini/schwarma etc... Get it to go..but get it. They've been open for only 5 days but I hope it catches on. Nice folks to boot. - Cochinita Pibil , posted 02/06/07
