fully tummy, leftovers minus the clothing aroma of bacon & hashbrowns
sunday morning parking is pretty easy and no meter fees. sure, my friend and I checked in at the host table and had to wait about 45 minutes at 11am on a sunday morning, but, a latte for the paper and sunday ad reading made it whiz by. Oh, you can call ahead to get on the wait list; that golden tidbit the Press Best of 2006 didn't include in the snippet on Snow City. No biggie, but, I wil call next time!
choices choices choices: eggs benny, omlettes, banana pancakes-- where to begin and what to choose???
heart attack on a plate for me.
"can i have a to-go box, please?" was all i could say when the server set the platter, uh, "plate" down.
he thought it was pretty funny, but i was serious. there was no way, even with my ability to chow down like a football player.
once i slid more than half of the cheese, potatoes, bacon, and onion mountain into the box, ithe grub fest began. I loved the generous cheddar blops. mmmm. crunchy but not over-crispy bacon with potato! happy happy joy joy
so yeah, i'll be going back, but i think i'll have the eggs benny to see if i like it more than the heart attack...
or, the pancakes?
the best part of the cafe is that i did not smell like fried bacon and hashbrowns when I headed out.
